Yamaha CK61 & CK88 Forum • Hooking an IPAD to CK61?

I have a CK61 and trying to trigger VB3II on an IPAD
I dont have the "IPAD camera connection kit" But ordered
a Lighting to USB midi cable and it does seem to work.
Why is the camera connection kit needed?
