Yamaha MODX and MODX+ Forum • Sliding effect on piano's: how to solve this?

Hi all,

I just got myself a new MODX8+ and noticed that when I play an arbitrary piano (factory presets), I once in while get an annoying "sliding" effect on some of the notes, the same effect that you get when you play acoustic guitars and hit the key a little harder. It is not specifically on one or more particular keys, it can occur at any key, especially when I play chords.

Now I am wondering if this is a problem with my keyboard or have some of you experienced this too? The only thing I changed on the board is the velocity curve, I changed that to soft. Can this be the cause? I guess this should not, but I hope one of you can help me out.
