images (2).jpegHi, i'm Agrifa from Indonesia
Long time i haven't see but i've never post the reply.

The Genos2 also have older WiFi standard (802.11a/b/g/n 2.4GHz only), images (3).jpegso both newer WiFi5+ adaptor or converter keep cannot detect WiFi in Genos2. It forced you to downgrade to single band older WiFi stands such as 802.11g 2.4GHz WiFi3. The newer device use WiFi5+, that it should became user needs, for example WiFi6 802.11ax. WiFi5+ newer has faster connection, compatible with most devices, and improved stability also lowing the latency.
Welcomd to the forums :)

Yamaha has always used older tech in their "new" keyboards. It is cheaper for them and enables higher profit margins.

I have said this many times over the years but, Yamaha, along with Korg, Roland, Casio etc are not our friends. Their number one purpose is to make a profit not to keep us lot happy. Their production decisions are based around profit, which of course is understandable because that is the whole point of running a business.

However the "marketing" is focused on making the customer feel like they have a warm, cosy relationship with the brand. Marketing is never about information. It is about selling you something. There is a huge amount of smoke and mirrors aimed at making us feel like the company has our best interests at heart. They don't. The only thing they want is to make you believe you are better off buying their product rather than their competitors product.

And so we end up in this situation where we cannot understand why they have put old, flaky tech in what is supposed to be their market leading, premium arranger keyboard. As long as people keep buying it, Yamaha will keep on doing it. :/:
