I actually recently moved from the SX-900 to a MODX6+. It is probably not timely at all for you but here is my reply. The sound of the SX900 is excellent; anyone looking for an arranger need not look further IMHO.
I moved to the MODX+ because I wanted a lighter/smaller unit, and frankly I find the MODX performances much easier and powerful to work with.
