The intention of this topic was to collect "quirks", so that future readers who are interested in getting an overview can quickly read through them, similarly to how that worked well for the MODX wishlist topic. It did not work well in this case. I am changing now the subject, and I guess that at a future point, I will create a new topic for collecting and documenting the "quirks".

Assignable Switch 1 and 2 are on/off per part. The per-part status can be observed by selecting the part, and then the leds in the buttons reflect the status of the part.

If the performance is selected, then the status of the leds might differ from the status of the parts. More interestingly, there can be a situation where none of the 16 parts match what the leds indicate when the performance is selected.

Yamaha-Pro answered my question "Switch On means the whole performance assignments (all parts at once) are activated (or whatever assigned)" with "===> Yes"

I assume you are asking for clarification because you received contradicting information.

I am calling this a "quirk" because the behavior can be surprising even to "experienced" MODX/Montage users and it might look like a "bug" to them (although some would not call it a "bug").

Let me make some examples, starting from the simplest one:

• Local Control On. Keyboard Control disabled for all parts. Can Assignable Switch 1 be On for part 1 and Off for part 2? Yes, and this is easy to check because in this situation the effective per-part Assignable Switch state can be changed and observed by selecting the part.
• Local Control On. Keyboard Control enabled for the first two parts (and only for the first two parts). Can Assignable Switch 1 be On for part 1 and Off for part 2 (and the LED indicates either On or Off when the performance is selected)? Yes.
• Local Control On. Keyboard Control enabled for the first part (and only for the first part). Can Assignable Switch 1 be On for part 1 and the LED indicates Off when the performance is selected)? Yes.
• Local Control On. Keyboard Control enabled for the first part (and only for the first part). Can Assignable Switch 1 be Off for part 1 and the LED indicates On when the performance is selected)? Yes.

How difficult is it to end up in this situation after loading a performance and with Controller Hold/Reset set to Reset? In the above cases, it is pressing the Assignable Switch button and pressing a scene button. Maybe in 1 or 2 cases, the buttons need to be pressed twice.
