I recently bought a 2nd hand LL-TA in virtually perfect condition. Clearly hadn't been used much at all.
Whilst it plays absolutely beautifully as a straight acoustic, there's just one thing:
Unplugged, the REV/CHO effects are pretty weak imho. To hear reverb at all from the body of the guitar, I need to turn it all the way up to max. Similarly the Chorus, although the chorus is slightly more noticeable than the reverb...
So, I'm on the brink of being disappointed. If I check out Youtube vids of TA review, they all rage about how "Wow" the effects are, but mine's a wimp by comparison.
Tried all sorts of batteries, to no avail. As I've previously used a ToneWoodAmp successfully on my Lowden F13 with fabulous results, reverb, chorus, delay with masses of effects to spare, it's clear to me that my LL-TA effects don't come close by comparison.
I'm planning "going in" to try re-seating the actuator, to see if that improves acoustic effects' volume. Yes it'll be FIDDLY i there, but it seems a logical next step to me, based on the fun and games involved in getting a TWA to make good contact on my Lowden's sweetspot
ANY THOUGHTS OR SIMILAR EXPERIENCES PLEASE?![Red Guitar :music-guitarred:]()
