"This reminds me of a story I heard back in the 80s. The editor of a U.S. video magazine was having dinner with a group of people from Sony. This editor said something like, "your products are great, but the documentation can make them difficult to use." Then someone at the table replies along the lines of, "I write the manuals, and I think they're fine." ;-)"

This is an illustration of that person's opinion of themselves or their work and hasn't the slightest clue how others are able to interpret what is already in his head. Someone who already understand the intricacies from every angle and all interrelationships doesn't mean we can follow what they have written. Often many holes exist and the false assumption that we hold an equivalent understanding as the writer does. It will always make perfect sense to the writer. It's also been said that if someone truly understands a topic then he/she can explain it so simply and clearly that a child can grasp it. Does the writer truly understand it himself or is he just filling pages?
