Know production dates are 1977 till 1981. It's not in the original Yamaha Guitarchive so it's an export model. The guitar shows up in the export catalogs from 1977 till 1981. Don't have a 1976 export catalog but do have a 1976 UK pricelist. The G240 is not mentioned there. So everything I know and have indicates it's 1977 - 1981 indeed.
