I think you nailed it right thereYamaha excels at musical instruments. If I wanted software, I'd go to a company that excels at that.
Buying a Montage M just to gain access to ESP is an interesting decision!
Although, I suppose is you had a friend who was only interested in having the hardware and you wanted just the software there would possibly be a deal to be done that makes it a win for both parties. Just throwing it out there
However if it were really a case of buying a Montage M just to get the software I would definitely be spending that sort of money elsewhere.
