Hence why I kept re interating that you *have* to install once first before you can use any quick installs (pqi or cqi); they simply won't work until an intiial install has been done.Something I hadn't actually taken in until last night, each pack must be installed with PPI before it can be updated with PQI.
I'd taken it that Expansion needed a PPI to be installed before it could work with PQI files.![:doh:]( "Doh!")
If I had to consider why I thought this way it's probably that n27 file. I get it from keyboard, give it to YEM, PPI (formatting) gives it/ID back to keyboard and the marriage is consummated.... carry on.
Next I will add files from a never installed pack to my previously installed Custom Pack to see if that works as a PQI
And since I'm always removing stuff after I do a test install (to try out all the new sounds in a pack), I can never use pqi/cqi since you can't remove anything with quick install either
