We (all) learned piano from a young age. I remember my mother had a friend with an 'electric organ' thing. It stood in her porch and we weren't allowed to touch it, so of course it's all we wanted to do. It had maybe 3 octaves and a few 'chord' buttons and seemed the most desirable thing in the world. If we passed piano milestones we were allowed some minutes on it, such a treat! It might even be why I gravitated to keyboard over piano, it's still a treat, though I usually play it (badly now) as a pianoThinking back the piano to me was boring. Had Mom had an organ I might have learned more. Had she had an arranger I might have really gotten into it.
