As to the target market, it's "on the road" vs. "at home." Do people need metal behemoths at home? Do touring performers need rugged construction?

I would have bought a Montage6 in a second and then I saw the weight. Can't haul that thing every week, so I waited and bought MODX6. I'm good.
Sure, my old MOX6 has a few nicks. You should have seen the other guy -- the acoustic guitars that hit the MOX came away worse for wear.
Plus, cost of materials is one thing. Cost of the tooling or molds? That's another thing and neither are cheap.
