Thank you Kier & Sharky! Excellet A/B videos!
For the most part, I wouldn't expect to hear much, if any difference when comparing the same patch; there was literally no difference in the first orchestral string patches (obviously they re-used the samples). But the CFX Bright Live Grand piano difference was pretty noticeable, which is incredible considering it's not using 4 parts to make up the single piano performance anymore! (er, right? We've sold quite a few Montage M's but have never had a spare to put on display, so still no firsthand experience. We *still* don't have any spare stock). I would, however, expect a lot of new patches with noticeably better sounds.
But I was shocked by the huge difference on Mallet Horn (supposed to be the same patch, right??) but the on the M there's more bass, there's more presence, and it feels significantly more dynamic! Very surprising!
