....Talking about the Genos3 ... do you think the Genos3 will be launched much earlier than expected by most Genos2 customers ?
No, I think It will take at least 5 years or more, if it ever happens. (G1 came in 2018, and G2 at the end of 2023)
Time will tell, but maybe ...... maybe Yamaha have made room for some planned G2 extended softwareupdates that will surprice us? :o
Yamaha and other companies are no longer dealing with the Global Pandemic and from what I understand the global supply chain crisis has eased up somewhat. But several factors like the Middle East war, the war in Ukraine plus the Panama Canal situation and other global events like the drought in Central America and shipping disruptions in the Arabian Gulf, etc., the supply chains could get worse in 2025 if things accelerate. If it doesn't though, then Yamaha is very adept at releasing new products in a timely manner if they want to. So in theory, Yamaha could release a Genos3, (if the Genos line is still in the works), in late 2026 if they put their noses to the grindstone. But since Yamaha has apparently relaxed production timelines, it's more likely the Genos3 will be released in 2027 or 2028. Unless of course if Korg or Roland??, or even Ketron releases a blockbuster high-end arranger that's the bees knees and then some, then Yamaha might step on the gas and release it sooner. Sooner is preferable with me. But since Yamaha runs the show, there's really no telling when it might be released or if a Genos3 is even in the pipeline.
